Kathryn earned her BA in English from the University of Guelph and relocated to Toronto shortly after. With a wealth of experience in the hospitality and event industries, she developed a strong appreciation for wine. Her love for the beverage was nurtured through fond memories of dining with her parents, particularly her father’s enthusiasm selecting wines to pair with food. One of her favourite activities is cooking for friends and family, which always includes opening a special bottle.
In 2016, she expanded her wine knowledge by obtaining her WSET Level 3 certification at George Brown College. She worked as a wine rep for a boutique agency, specializing in Bordeaux, before arriving at Iron Gate. Now, she takes great pleasure in working with clients, helping them manage and bring their wine collections to auction, sharing her expertise and enthusiasm for fine wines.
