I am not sure if the 2012 Pinot Noir The Haven Vineyard Estate will ever fully emerge, as it remains compact, tense and very much closed in on itself. Still, there is a sense of verticality and overall structure that is impossible to miss. Today I am inclined to think all the 2012 needs is time, but readers will have to be patient. The Haven is likely to always remain a powerful, incisive Pinot. 92 points from Vinous.
IronGate.Wine is delighted to present the first tranche of a very fine Burgundian cellar from Toronto. It came to us from a fervent collector who took pride in his meticulously kept bottles and was always very acquainted with his investments in the region. His entire collection was professionally stored in Canada. While it is challenging to see his wines for sale, it is because he is relocating to Beaune permanently to live among the vines and terroir.
