The 2012 Pinot Noir Roman Vineyard is one of the more immediate wines today in terms of its up-front, succulent fruit, but at the same time, it has more than enough tannic clout to age well for years. Dark cherry, plum, cloves, menthol and dark spices wrap around the creamy, expressive finish. The style is round and generous but backed up by a terrific sense of energy. In short, there is a lot to like. 93 points from Vinous.
IronGate.Wine is delighted to present the first tranche of a very fine Burgundian cellar from Toronto. It came to us from a fervent collector who took pride in his meticulously kept bottles and was always very acquainted with his investments in the region. His entire collection was professionally stored in Canada. While it is challenging to see his wines for sale, it is because he is relocating to Beaune permanently to live among the vines and terroir.
