An example of why Amarone is unique in the world of wine. A beauty, from the deep, espressolike color and smoky, exotic aromas to the overripe berry and botrytis flavors. Glycerinlike in texture, yet muscular, with a lingering finish. 92 points from Wine Spectator.
This Canadian client has been collecting for over ten years - his interest (mainly in red wines) budding from tasting with good friends. This can be seen in his fine Italian and Californian offerings, along with a touch of Champagne. The main source for his collection was through the LCBO, the Waddingtons Auction, and direct from winery. All of which were stored in a temperature and humidity controlled wine cooler.
