Pure aromas of pineapple and lemon. Thick and plump but with a powerful minerality to the pineapple and wet stone flavors. A generous, tactile '04 that combines outstanding sucrosity with ripe, harmonious acids. Finishes with superb length. I would have picked this blind as a Perrieres. Boillot offered the opinion that 2004 was a great year for Charmes. 93 points from Stephen Tanzer.
IronGate.Wine is delighted to present the first tranche of a very fine Burgundian cellar from Toronto. It came to us from a fervent collector who took pride in his meticulously kept bottles and was always very acquainted with his investments in the region. His entire collection was professionally stored in Canada. While it is challenging to see his wines for sale, it is because he is relocating to Beaune permanently to live among the vines and terroir.
